We are in a region where pulses are dominant and are grown traditionally. Therefore, Pigeon pean or Toor is the natural first choice of crop in this region. Growing food naturally, that too which is native to the region, is very important in natural farming. Despite experiencing minimal rainfall, we have successfully grown one season of pigeon pea through rain-fed farming, thereby maintaining the local traditions.
